The Best Destinations in The US

The greatest thing about vacationing in the United States is all the destinations made available to travelers. Where most nations are smaller and limited to what they can offer tourist, sightseeing in the United States could literally take someone a lifetime.

Whether you want a warm, beach vacation; a snowy, skiing experience; or a thrilling, rollercoaster extravaganza, the United States can offer up vacation destinations for everyone (no matter how picky they are).

Two-Piece Swimsuits and Flip Flops

If you are seeking a relaxing vacation—a chance to work on your tan—the United States has several hot-spot destinations to check out! With dozens of noteworthy beaches along the United States shoreline, the following two stand out amongst the rest.

Central Coast, California

Described as “surreally scenic,” Central Coast, California, offers visitors to the United States the chance to experience the Pacific coast without the tourist traps of Los Angeles and San Francisco. Central Coast offers an opportunity to enjoy wildlife and nature the way that God intended, untouched by man.

That being said, if you do want to check out some of California’s top vacation spots, a quick trip up Pacific Coast Highway 1 is sure to get you there.

Lana’i, Hawaii

There are often great flight deals flying to the non-contiguous states of Alaska and Hawaii (I usually find great deals on Condor). Often Americans neglect these states because it requires flying. Given the opportunity, Lana’i, Hawaii, offers a great mix of both Hawaiian and Asian culture.

As the smallest of the Hawaiian Islands, Lana’i has one, small town; therefore, it is truly a once in a lifetime chance to relax on the beach, without a care in the world.

Earmuffs and Mittens

For those looking less for relaxation in the sun, and more for skiing the slopes and taking in the rich culture that the United States has to offer, the following vacation spots might be right up your alley.

Breckenridge, Colorado

Just outside of Denver, Colorado, Breckenridge is home to some of the best skiing in the United States. With its multiple ski resorts along the Rocky Mountains, Breckenridge is the quintessential, one-stop shop for those looking to enjoy a winter climate. From the city’s International Snow Sculpture Championships, help annually in January, to the Winter Dew Tour, in December, there are events all year long to pique the interest of snow bunnies and snowboarders.

Boston, Massachusetts

A center of culture and history for the United States, Boston, Massachusetts is the perfect city for tourist looking to enjoy a cooler climate and American history. A key city for numerous events during the Revolutionary War (the Boston Massacre, the Boston Tea Party, and the Battle of Bunker Hill), Boston became a foundation for America and has since become one of the top educational centers of the world.

As a dominant city of the New England region, those travelling from abroad might feel more at home in authentic Irish bars, Italian eateries, and Roman Catholic cathedrals. If sports are more your thing, Boston has excellent baseball, basketball, football, and hockey teams.
