Travel Blogs:
Shares of the Week, May 4 - 10

Every day, I share a travel related post on my Facebook Page from either a fellow travel blogger who follows my page and interacts with me there, or from another Facebook travel blogger whom I subscribe to and read regularly.

At the end of the week, I compile all 7 of my daily Facebook "Travel Blog Shares" into one blog post published here, with the intent of making good quality travel content easier to find and more accessible to my readers!

Here are this week's shared posts!

  • Saturday :
"And Then There Was That Day You Got Food Poisoning"
From The Roaming Tiger
Very few things can put a damper on your trip more than getting sick. Getting food poisoning is on the top of my list of maddening travel experiences. Sarah from The Roaming Tiger shared with her readers her feelings of disappointment and restlessness as she dealt with being sick in India.

  • Sunday:
"Philippines: Pilot Episode Trailer"
From Budget  Backpacker
OK, so there's just one video about the Philippines on their page so far, but that one video proves that the guys at Budget Backpacker know exactly what they're doing. It's no secret that I have an open obsession with the Philippines, and their video about Dominic's trip there does not help ease my present state of withdrawals.

  • Monday:
"My Travel Blog Can Beat Up Your Travel Blog"
From 20 Liter Adventures
Ethan from 20 Liter Adventure claims that despite being relatively new on the travel blogging scene, like myself, his blog can beat up everyone else's. Funny thing is, after reading his 5 reasons why he knows this is so, I truly believe him, (at least on my account.) Props to you man, this is me, gracefully bowing out.

  • Tuesday:
"Cooking And Eating at Lemongrass Cooking School"
From The Paper Planes Blog
I recently asked if you preferred to learn a language or learn how to cook a cuisine. I chose cook. Someone else asked what my favorite international cuisine was, I said Thai. Both lines of thought lead me to today's travel blog share by Alana from The Paper Planes Blog. She wrote to her readers about how to go about getting into a quality cooking course in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Thai, anyone?

  • Wednesday:
"Famous Dutch Stereotypes"
From Vagabonding Travel
Do you hate stereotypes? Then stop reading here. On second thought, nah, just get over it! Because this post by Greg from Vagabonding Travel is way too good to pass up. Take some time out to enlighten yourself on the ins-and-outs of Dutch stereotypes!

  • Thursday
"You've Moved to the UK - Now what?"
From Endlessly Changing Horizon
I know very well what it's like to uproot and make a new life in another country, Taiwan. In one of their recent posts, Miranda & Dylan at Endlessly Changing Horizon shared their view of going through the same experience, but from the other side of the world in the UK. As I read their post, I learned that although we were on opposite ends of the globe, there were many common threads throughout both of our experiences.

  • Friday
"Pulau Ubin - Singapore's Last Village"
From Stories on Travel
What do you think of when you hear the name Singapore? Highrises and skyscrapers? Or coconut trees, wild boars, dogs and chickens? Noel from Stories On Travel took his readers back in time to the last traditional village remaining in this highly modernized Asian nation.

Did you enjoy this week's weekly roundup of travel blog shares?

I am always looking for new travel related content to read and share, so if you have a post you'd like me to check out, PLEASE get on my radar. Mahalo!

Remember to find me on Facebook, LIKE my page, and share your blog post on my wall. The more interactive you are with me and my readers, the easier it is for me to take notice.

I read (and try to respond to) every comment left for me there. Introduce yourself!

And now we'd like to ask you: Have you ever read a blog post that you just HAD to share?

Nice round-up! I had only seen two of these, so I've got a lot of reading to do (as always). Thanks for sharing!

Food Poisoning...my Hubby had that once, he doesn't recommend it. It's made it paranoid when it comes to handling & cooking food.

No kidding! I got serious food poisoning here once and it was NOT FUN at all!!! I was sick for over 2 weeks, couldn't eat or hold anything down for days. Funny thing is, I eat street all the time here and never get sick, it wasn't until we went to a beautiful and expensive restaurant that we all got sick!

My belated big thanks to you JR for including my post here. I've just find time to catch up with my own blog. By the way, have you read my message to you on FB about my guest posting?
